Maya Milton is an artist named by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as a Change Maker. Maya designed a commemorative t-shirt to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of women’s right to vote for the Women’s Commission. In this zoom interview, we discussed her artwork, the role it plays in empowering women of color, and what voting means to her and other young women of color.
