Andrea (Dre) Carrillo is the Director of Advocacy & Development at Unidos Nueva Alianza Foundation, where she leads regional advocacy, coalition-building, fundraising, and community-centered initiatives serving immigrant and rural families across Central Washington.

Born and raised in Moses Lake, Washington, Andrea brings lived experience to her work. She holds an associate’s degree in early childhood education and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in educational studies, deepening her expertise in educational equity and early childhood development. Growing up in a mixed-status household, Andrea witnessed firsthand how immigration policy, limited access to resources, and systemic inequities shape family stability, educational opportunities, and long-term outcomes.

With over a decade of experience in family social services, Andrea has supported parents navigating complex education, early learning, and public systems. As a parent herself, she understands the critical role early childhood development plays in strengthening families and communities. Her advocacy focuses on immigrant rights, economic justice, education equity, and youth leadership, grounded in the belief that policy should be informed by the voices and experiences of those most impacted.

In addition to her professional role, Andrea volunteers her time with the Kiwanis Club of Moses Lake & the Early Learning Advisory Council, continuing her commitment to local service and community well-being.

End of First Term: 06/30/2026
