Breaking Barriers for Women's Day with the Washington State Labor Council

03/15/2022

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Women’s Committee of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO held a “Breaking Barriers: Challenge Course & Community Kickback” event on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in the Machinists District 751 parking lot in South Park, Seattle. In thanks to an invitation by Commissioner Kasi Perreira, the Washington State Women's Commission joined multiple unions and their members as we participated in a 10-challenge, accessible obstacle course representing the barriers that working women face and overcome every day.

The Women's Commission would like to thank our partners at the Women's Committee of the Washington State Labor Council for hosting such a lovely event to celebrate women,  and build community within the labor movement.
