Generative Session
After a lunch break at locally owned Wagner’s European Bakery and Cafe, commissioners and staff returned to the conference space for a generative session. Their first time gathering since the start of session, commissioners had the opportunity to reflect upon the 2023 legislative session, and to determine areas of focus for the upcoming interim. During this session, under the leadership of Chair Rituja Indapure, commissioners prepared to re-launch the Women's Commission's Health, Safety, and Economic Security & Opportunity committees during the 2023 legislative interim in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.
Though the Executive Director position had not yet been filled at the time of the meeting, the Commission is happy to report that Governor Inslee has appointed Grace Yoo as the Executive Director of the Washington State Women’s Commission (read about Grace here).
The Washington State Women's Commission's next plenary meeting will take place in Bellingham, WA on July 14, 2023 (event details here).
