Your voice matters

Who Can Apply

You don’t need special training or experience. We’re looking for people who:

  • Care about the well-being of women and girls in Washington
  • Engage with their communities and think critically about systems
  • Are willing to show up, listen, and work together for positive change

Applications are encouraged from Washingtonians of all backgrounds and lived experiences—across race, ethnicity, age, ability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and socioeconomic background—whose voices and perspectives are often left out of decision-making spaces.

Join Us

Expectations

Committee members are expected to attend a monthly one-hour virtual meeting. In addition, members can expect 3-5 hours a month contributing in any of these ways:

  • Share subject matter knowledge or lived experience.
  • Assist with research, data collection, or listening sessions.
  • Raise awareness on issues and engage communities.
  • Help identify policy priorities or gaps in services.
  • Assist in drafting and providing testimony on bills.
