Our 2026 Policy Priorities

Commissioners review our priorities every 2 years to ensure we are staying in line with the needs of women and girls across our state.

Policy Work

Our Role

Our Commission was established to serve a distinct role within the Office of the Governor: to advocate for legislation that advances equity and removes systemic barriers for women and girls.

As a designated voice within state government, we work to ensure public policy meets the needs of women across Washington (RCW 43.119.005) by connecting with communities historically-excluded from decision-making and advising the Governor, legislature, and state agencies.
