The early work of WSWC took place when the #MeToo movement gained national attention. From requests by legislators and constituents, the commission created a Sexual Harassment Model Policy option, especially for businesses with limited resources.

Civil Protection Order Reform

In 2021, the Commission hosted virtual listening sessions to hear directly from voices across the state including survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, subject matter experts, and other advocates and stakeholders. The report generated from this input informed state court systems and legislators on areas in need of improvement.
