Gauri Locker

Gauri Shrotriya Locker is a Senior Counsel with the Torts Division of the State Attorney General’s Office in Seattle.  Prior to joining the Attorney General’s office, Gauri worked as a private civil defense attorney and as a public defender.

Gauri is a member of the Attorney General’s Office Equity Advice Workgroup, and was on the state Race, Equity and Justice Initiative.   Gauri is also a member of the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers Association, where she serves as their statewide Community Service Committee Chair, and is a member of their Women’s Commission.  She is active in the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, is an active mentor in the Joint Minority Bar Mentorship Program and is a past chair of the Joint Asian Judicial Evaluation Committee of Washington.  Gauri also serves on the board of directors for OSL (formerly known as Operation: Sack Lunch).

Prior to law school, Gauri was a staff member for the Ohio Women’s Policy and Research Commission, worked for the League of Women Voters of Ohio, and served on the Ohio Women’s Legal Assistance and Education Coalition.
